The NEER Flood API

Modeled flood depth, exposure analytics, the NEER Flood Score, embeddable map tiles and per-property reports for all of India — from the India Flood Atlas, through one API.

What you can call

Point

Point & NEER Flood Score

Depth at a coordinate across return periods, plus the 0–100 NEER Flood Score, category and 30-year probability. The single point at the 100-year event is free.

Score methodology →
Portfolio

Portfolio scoring

Score thousands to millions of assets in one call — mean/max score, exposure counts and category breakdown. For insurers and lenders underwriting a book.

Exposure

Area exposure

Buildings, roads and rail exposed inside a city, district, portfolio boundary or whole state — counts, at-risk kilometres and depth bands.

Rasters

Depth rasters (GeoTIFF / COG)

Cloud-optimized GeoTIFF flood depth for any bounding box or GeoJSON boundary. Drops straight into QGIS, ArcGIS or your own modeling pipeline.

Map layer

Embeddable map layer

A styled flood-depth tile layer for web maps — add it over your property pins in MapLibre, Mapbox, Leaflet or Google Maps with a one-line TileJSON. Built for proptech & real-estate portals.

Report

NEER Flood Report

A branded, loan-usable PDF per property: the NEER Flood Score, the depth curve, a modeled flood-extent map, guidance and disclaimers. Single or lender-batch. Immutable and verifiable by ID.

Raster vs tiles: a raster is the depth data — a GeoTIFF of real metre values you download and analyze in GIS. Tiles are the display — pre-colored map images you overlay live in a web map. Raster clips are area-capped per tier; whole-state and national rasters are a licensed bulk deliverable, not an open download.

All return periods · bulk/licensed rasters · batch reports · higher limits · SLAs

Return periods other than 100-year are entitlement-gated. Map tiles use domain-restricted tokens so they are safe to embed in a browser. Large jobs return a download URL. See the score methodology.

Climate scenarios. Every product also takes a scenario axis, orthogonal to the return period. Current climate is live today; 2100 projections under SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 are coming — the same return periods, deepened under future climate — so a report can show today vs 2100 side by side over a 30-year loan.
